Covid-19 Impact on Gasoline Prices in the US

If you own a vehicle you have probably noticed that the price of gas has decreased quite a bit during the pandemic.

But just how much?

We were wondering just the same thing so we gathered the data and crunched the numbers. Here’s what we got!

Overall, that’s a 19.61% drop on average in the last 8 months!

We also plotted the week-to-week variations.

On April 27 the average gas price in the US dropped to $1.66. That’s the lowest since February 2016!
